An eclectic oasis that prides itself on Coffee, Beignets, Bubbles, and Bites. The atmosphere is an elegant, but chill coffee house with a creative take on beignets and EXCELLENT service. If you work remotely, it's the perfect atmosphere for productivity and fuel for a perfect day. This brunch is for the people who need a quick, but quality bite to eat!

If you're visiting New Orleans and plan on visiting the French Quarter, I recommend you start your morning at Café Amelie. The garden courtyard is the BEST place to enjoy your mimosas or bloody marys at Amelie. Put on your favorite brunch baddie outfit for pictures in the courtyard. On those extremely humid, summer Sundays, there's seating inside the dining room, but my favorite place to enjoy brunch at Café Amelie is the patio area laced with greenery and string lights. Breathtaking! Like many great brunch places, the earlier you arrive at Café Amelie, the less the wait time. My favorite dishes are the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles. If you're from a fast-paced city, just know that eating isn't just a meal, it's an event, carve out some time to enjoy the ambiance and the company enjoying the restaurant with you. Just know the patio seating and brunch here is in HIGH demand, but worth the wait.

Biscuits, biscuits, biscuits. If you come here, you HAVE to try the biscuits made from scratch. Thank me later! Willa Jean closes at 2:00 pm and they do not take reservations so once again: Stop by early and if you don't...it's DEFINITELY worth the wait! They have creative takes on boozy drinks and an extensive tea and coffee selection. Three things to keep in mind when visiting Willa Jean for brunch: Biscuits, Drinks (of all varieties), and Deliciousness I would tell you more, but I rather Willa Jean show you.

The best seasonal menu items! Those seasons include Mardi Gras, Summer, Fall, etc. If you're dining on a dime, I recommend The Ruby Slipper for the best bang for your buck. My favorite items are the sweet heat & french toast bites and the vegetarian breakfast taco for a lighter option. You cannot go to the Ruby Slipper and not get one of their cocktails. If there's a long wait until you can get seated inside, you can order drinks while in line and enjoy. Mimosas on the street can make the wait time go by so quickly! Download the Ruby Slipper app to avoid the lines and get quick access to your food which is perfect for those who are visiting on a time crunch, but still want to experience brunch without the wait.

Toast's presentation is as fantastic as the food tastes! Toast is budget-friendly and provides a quality meal and service. Out of pure luck, there was no wait when I arrived at Toast for breakfast recently. Despite my recent experience with immediate seating, sign up for the waitlist before arriving or make reservations in advance. The line fills quickly! But like the other contenders on this brunch list, it's WELL worth the wait! My favorite items on the menu are the Aebilskivers and the Monte Cristo French Toasts with a tried and true hibiscus mimosa!
I love everything on Morrow's menu, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack (well, it would be my favorite midnight snack stop if they were open that late. They close at 10/11 PM most days). Morrows has a brunch menu on SUNDAYS ONLY. This black-owned restaurant is a VIIIBBEEEE and perfect for young professional foodies. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing and lit. Don't forget to take a picture outside the restaurant under the M for you didn't really eat at Morrow's FYI. At Morrow's you'll find a great chef, great bartenders, and great vibes.
